Students who want to attend a school other than their assigned school next semester (2019-20 school year) must apply for an in-district transfer (IDT) by November 30, 2019. This includes elementary, middle and high school students.
This process is for students applying for a new IDT. If your student is currently attending a school on an IDT, they do not need to reapply.
Although school is not in session the week of Nov. 25-29 for Thanksgiving Break, school offices are open on Monday, Nov. 25 and Tuesday, Nov. 26 for parent/teacher conferences. You can call your school for more information then.
IDT request forms can also be picked up at the Salem-Keizer Public Schools District Office (Lancaster Professional Center), 2450 Lancaster Drive NE, in Salem. Requests must be completed and returned before the due date. There is no guarantee a transfer request will be approved. Students attending school on an IDT are not eligible for bus transportation. NOTE: The district office will be closed Nov. 28 and 29 for Thanksgiving.
More information on the in-district transfer process can be found on the Student Transfers page on the district website.
