We have a few more details to share regarding our plans for elementary hybrid learning. Please know that elementary principals are currently planning information sessions for families later this week.
Now, that we have made plans to bring your child back to in-person hybrid learning, beginning March 2 for kindergarten and first-grade, it is time to make sure your elementary student has transportation to and from school. We need your help to use our limited resources efficiently so we can plan for physically distancing our young riders on buses.
So, we are asking families:
- Can you bring your student to and from school?
- If you are eligible for district transportation and will need transportation for your student, please complete our Rider Registration form.
Check eligibility for bus service. If eligible, you will see a link to the Rider Registration form.
Student cohort information – what days will your child attend in person
In hybrid learning, your child will attend school in person, two days a week according to their assigned cohort, and attend school online on alternate days. School days will be five hours long and your principal will share more information about the daily schedule later this week.
Your child will either be assigned to the Tuesday/Thursday cohort, or group, or the Wednesday/Friday cohort.
See instructions to find out the cohort your child is a part of.
Watch for information sessions later this week
As we get closer to the start day for your student, we will provide you with more detailed information. Many of the specific details will come directly from your school this week.
Thank you, Salem-Keizer. Reaching every family and every student is our goal as we move closer to in-person learning.
