Welcome back to school! Things certainly look different this year at Auburn.
Construction contractors have worked hard over the last few months and have made great progress on improvements at Auburn. There’s still a lot of work to be done, however, and our school will be an active construction site until the fall.
Safety is our highest priority at Auburn. It’s very important that staff, students and visitors obey all posted signs, and stay out of the construction zone. Signs, fences, and barriers are in place to make sure the school operates safely and construction progresses as swiftly as possible.
Distracting construction workers can also create a safety hazard. Please allow workers to focus on their jobs to keep themselves and others safe.
Parking may be limited during construction. Whenever possible, please encourage students to walk or ride a bike to school to minimize parking and traffic congestion.
Students may notice some noise during construction work. Please remember that construction is temporary and the end results will be worth the inconvenience: Once construction is finished, Auburn will have additional parking, improved traffic flow, more new classrooms, a new cafeteria and kitchen, and many more improvements!
We are grateful to the voters of Salem and Keizer for passing the bond!
